Cat hair on your black shirt just before you leave? Start with the fabric and the kind of cleanup you need. An adhesive roller and a reusable fabric mitt offer different ways to collect loose hair. Neither is a tool for brushing your cat.
The quick choice
- Clothing touch-ups with peel-away sheets: consider an adhesive lint roller. Check the care label and try a hidden area first.
- Repeated cleanup on suitable dry upholstery: consider a reusable fabric pickup mitt if you prefer not to replace adhesive sheets.
- Delicate, loose-knit or easily snagged fabric: follow the fabric manufacturer's care advice. Do not assume either tool is suitable.
What the roller includes
Our Pet Hair Lint Roller with Two Spare Rolls includes one handle and three paper rolls in total. It uses adhesive sheets: peel away a used sheet to expose a fresh one. It is not a washable adhesive roller. Use it on compatible fabric, never directly on animals or skin.
What the reusable mitt does differently
Our Reusable Pet Hair Pickup Mitt includes one black surface-cleaning mitt. Its directional fabric face gathers loose fur as you wipe suitable dry fabric in one direction. Remove the gathered hair by hand. Avoid wet, delicate, loosely woven or easily snagged surfaces. This mitt is not a pet grooming glove.
A simple clothing check
Read the garment's care label, test a hidden patch and use light pressure. Stop if the fabric snags or changes appearance.
